About Valley, AL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Valley, Alabama is a city situated in Chambers County. A relatively new community, Valley was incorporated in 1980, at which time four villages combined together: Fairfax, River View, Langdale, and Shawmut. However, the area where Valley is presently located went through major economic changes after the Civil War, at which time the ‘Age of the Textiles in the South’ commenced.  Approximately 10,000 people now live in this “Alabama Community of Excellence”, which lies along the western bank of the Chattahoochee River.

While Valley isn’t a major tourist destination, there are some noteworthy destinations here for visitors and residents. The Valley Community Centers offers 54,000 square feet of recreational space, including racquetball courts, a fitness room, aquatic center, and indoor walking track. The community is well-known for its Christmas celebrations, including the Merry-Go-Round that operates here at the Historic Langdale Mill throughout December. Valley is also proud to offer some of the best “down-home” cooking in East Alabama at Chuck’s Bar-B-Que and Sue’s Chick.

Located in eastern Alabama, Valley is found within a humid subtropical climate zone. Winters here are short and mild, and average daily highs reach about 55 degrees Fahrenheit in January. Still, freezing weather is possible, especially overnight. While snow and ice are rare, residents still need to take precautions at home to keep temperatures warm indoors. A Valley HVAC specialist can help homeowners decide between a heat pump or a more traditional home heating system.

Summers in Valley are dramatically different in terms of the weather. Temperatures are hot, and the season is long. Average daily highs often reach well into the 90s, and excessive humidity will make it feel even warmer. To stay safe and comfortable at home throughout the season, Valley residents should invest in a central air conditioning system or use the cooling action of a heat pump. Periodic servicing by a licensed professional will also ensure these units work properly when needed.
