What Do the Ratings Mean?
Efficiency ratings make it easier to compare heat pumps. When comparing systems, use the same rating standard on both products.
SEER2
Measures seasonal cooling efficiency using updated testing conditions intended to better represent typical home operation.
EER2
Measures cooling efficiency at a specific high outdoor temperature, helping you compare performance under peak cooling conditions.
HSPF2
Measures heating-season efficiency. A higher HSPF2 rating indicates more efficient heating performance under the rating test.
