About Phenix City, AL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Phenix City, Alabama is a city found in portions of Lee and Russell Counties. Approximately 36,500 people resided here in 2017. Phenix City is a suburb of Columbus, Georgia, and it is sometimes referred to as Hub City. Due to this close proximity to Columbus, Phenix City has chosen to observe Eastern Time, even though it is legally situated within the Central Time Zone.

Phenix City is a primarily residential community, with most of the major tourist attractions situated in neighboring Columbus. The East Alabama Motor Speedway hosts a variety of races here throughout the year, and restaurants like Ezell’s Catfish and Giovanna’s Pizzaria are found within the city limits. The Parks and Recreation Department maintains several parks like Meadowlane and Sugar Town, and visitors can walk along the Alabama side of the Chattahoochee River Walk.

Typical of the Deep South, Phenix City enjoys mild winter weather with almost no snowfall. Most days feature high temperatures in the mid-50s during January, the coldest month of the year, and by the end of the season thermostat readings are back into the upper-60s. The moderate climate of Phenix City makes a heat pump a great option for year-round home comfort. One advantage of this system is that it moves heat rather than generating it, providing for more energy efficiency. Powered by electricity, the system can also help residents to save on fuel consumption.

An early spring season will lead into a long, muggy, and hot summer. July is the hottest month of the year, with an average daily high of about 90 degrees. In fact, there are nearly 60 days each year in which highs exceed 90 degrees Fahrenheit, so home cooling systems are a necessity. Those with heat pumps can switch on the cooling function during these months, while other residents may opt for an energy efficient central air conditioner at home.
