About LaGrange, GA - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Located in Troup County, Georgia, LaGrange is a growing city with about 31,000 residents. Lagrange is located about 60 miles southwest of Atlanta within the Georgia Piedmont foothills. LaGrange College is found here and is the oldest private college in Georgia, and public education is managed by the Troup County School System. This is a growing progressive city located just south of the world’s busiest airport – Atlanta’s Hartsfield International – and it has been named as the top micropolitan area in Georgia by Site Selection magazine.

While LaGrange may not be a major tourist destination, there are still noteworthy things to see and do here. The city’s close proximity to West Point Lake helps to attract water sports enthusiasts and bass fishermen to the area. Artistic and musical performances are held at the Sweetland Amphitheatre, and visitors who want to try out a local beer might like to stop by the Wild Leap Brew Company.

LaGrange weather features many different changes throughout the year. The summer season is arguably the most extreme and is the longest in duration. Temperatures are hot and humidity levels are high. On average, the city experiences about 60 days per year where temperature exceed 90 degrees Fahrenheit. However, the Southeast is muggy, and this humidity will make the air feel even warmer. Central air conditioning will keep residents cool throughout the season.

Winter weather is mild in LaGrange and a major benefit for most of the city’s residents. It rarely snows, and even though January is the coldest month of the year, average daily highs reach well into the 50s. While some residents elect to cool their homes with traditional central air conditioners, others may invest in an electric heat pump. During warmer weather, the pump can function as an air conditioner, transferring heat from the house and creating a cooling effect throughout. This process saves energy, and ultimately, money.
